Dobro - often synonymous with wooden resonator guitars has been a registered trademark of the US guitar manufacturer Gibson since 1994.
The name Dobro goes back to five Slovakian immigrants, the Dopyera Brothers, who began to build the guitar in 1927. By the way, Dobro means "good" in Slovakian/Slavic - a surely wanted word play.
With the Hound Dog Deluxe Roundneck, the
Sound of Traditional American Music is moving in. Whether blues or bluegrass, country or folk - this guitar is at home with every style.
