About This Listing

I've had this Bass guitar for 25 years. I purchased it from a pro player in CA. I have played it sporadically over the years and I love its unique wonderful sound but I don't play it as much any more and it is time for it to have a new home. It is all original except for the strings! Original Baritone switch, pickup, String mute, case, knobs...you get it! I had it checked out and restrung last year by my longtime guitar tech. It needed nothing else. As you can see it is in EXCELLENT condition but the finish has some crazing and there are two small knicks, one just below the pickup and the other near the A tuning knob.

Pick up in Central CA is free. I may be able to meet you in CA if we can work out a time and place. Contact me on that before you buy. Otherwise I may be willing to ship or you can set up a shipping company to come pick it up.

Product Overview
Similar to the ES-335, the Gibson EB-2 was a semi-hollow bass with that classic Gibson shape. A single humbucker on the neck and a shorter scale length identify the EB-2 and set it apart from the likes of the EB-2D, which was released in '66 sporting two neck pickups. The EB-2's tone and style attracted notable bassists like Chas Chandler of the Animals and John Entwistle.
