Marshall\'s Astoria Series is breaking new ground - high-quality hand-wired amps at the Boutique Amp level! The Astoria AST 3 Dual Head is a puristic dual-channel amp with some contemporary features such as tube-buffered, serial loop-in and push/pull-body (bassboost) circuitry. Both channels share a 4-band control, the Overdrive channel is adjustable in volume and gain. The cathode BIAS power amplifier draws 30 watts from a pair of KT-66 tube, the power can be reduced to 5 watts. The usual gain control is replaced by a sensitivity potentiometer in AST 3 - this is directly used for the feedback of the output stage. The degree of distortion is controlled without changing the sound characteristics. The Edge Controller has a similar function to a traditional Presence Pot, which affects high frequencies in the output stage
