About This Listing

VINTAGE, ENCORE Model E-45. I believe from the headstock shape that this version was made by Fujigen Gakki in Japan in the mid-1960's. All original electrics, gold foil pickups, pick guard, tuners, saddle, and tremolo bridge (tremolo spring and bar are replacements). New Dunlop strings (9-42s). This is a 60 plus year old instrument and has some normal wear and tear battle scars from 6 decades of use: dings, dents, scratches, nicks, minor superficial finish checking/cracks, scuffs, and so on. THIS IS A VINTAGE 1960S ERA INSTRUMENT! PLEASE DON’T EXPECT IT TO SOUND LIKE, FEEL LIKE, OR PLAY LIKE THE 2023 SQUIER STRATOCASTER YOU TRIED OUT AT GUITAR CENTER!

All of my guitars have been fully tested and are functional. All of my guitars have been “set up” (neck straightness optimized, fingerboard oil treated (if rosewood/laurel/ebony), action set as low as possible, pickup height optimized, intonation checked) all to MY PERSONAL PREFERENCES. (Please note: “setups” are not “one size fits all”. Your personal set up requirements might be different from mine, so, additional adjustments may be needed to suit your setup preferences). Per Reverb.com requirements to protect the guitar from damage during shipping, the string tension will be relieved before shipment. You'll need to tune the guitar to pitch when it arrives. Let the instrument acclimate to your environment! Differences in altitude, temperature, and humidity from my shop to your location have an effect on the instrument. Additionally, vibrations caused during days in a truck being shipped to you might loosen screws and bolts! This is a perfectly NORMAL occurrence during shipping! It doesn’t mean your instrument is DAMAGED! Because of all these factors, you will NOT be able to pull this instrument out of the shipping box and start playing it! Also, for optimal sound and playing ease, I advise buyers to put a new set of strings on the guitar, the string brand and gauge of their preference.

This is a USED item. Please see images for details and ask any questions you may have BEFORE YOU PURCHASE! I strive to provide detailed photographs that accurately represent each item I sell. However, there may be some scratches, nicks, dents, scuffs, chips, and other honest wear that do NOT SHOW UP IN A PHOTOGRAPH, as well as variations in color due to computer monitors displaying colors differently and everyone seeing colors differently. I strive to ensure my photos are as life-like as possible, but please understand the actual color may vary slightly from what you see on your monitor. I cannot guarantee that the color YOU see on your monitor accurately portrays the true color of the product! Please do not hesitate to request additional SPECIFIC photos of an item BEFORE YOU PURCHASE! 100% full functionality of an item as if it were “brand new” is not implied and cannot be guaranteed. I list PREVIOUSLY OWNED items. Please read the condition description in my listing and study the Reverb.com definition for each condition grade. Please do not expect a “MINT” guitar if I have posted “GOOD” condition in a listing.
