Rob Allen MB-2 with soft case.
I bought used on reverb. I am selling to fund another bass. Here is the info I received from the seller from previous owner.
"This Rob Allen MB 2 began its life as a fretted bass circa 1999. I had the fingerboard replaced with a beautiful slab of Ebony wood by an extremely professional luthier. It plays very well and produces that great classic fretless Rob Allen sound."
This bass gets some beautiful near-upright tones. Given this history I have priced this amazing guitar at a fair price , but will entertain reasonable offers.
It features a bound Claro Walnut top, chambered Basswood body, Ebony fingerboard on a 34" scale Mahogany neck. The active pickup is mounted in a Cocobolo bridge and features a volume control. Internally there is a tone pot to go from P Bass style to warm upright tone. The bass has been set up by my luthier with, what I know as, the original tape wound strings. This sale is for the bass and a gig bag.
Please look the picture(s) over carefully and message me if you have questions before you buy. Please kindly understand that I am not a music store. Thanks for your interest!
