Martin DC-16GTE 1999 - 2015 - Natural
Martin DC 16GTE. Year 2001. Really balanced tone from bass to treble on this guitar and a full warm, rich sound. In that regard I have found it records really well and after 25 years its opened up lovely.
Well respected Australian luthier Jim Matheas gave it some upgrades include adding a bone nut and saddle, and shifting the nut forward slightly which improved the intonation across the fretboard. It has made for a really nice sounding acoustic. Lots of life left in the frets, and setup for fingerstyle. No dead frets, buzzing etc. Great sounding preamp onboard which includes a mic. Nice thin profile neck which is nice to play.
It's in pretty good nick for its age. Theres some marks below the pickguard where the pick/I overshot the pickguard, however for the most part I have played soft fingerstyle guitar on it so its had a gentle life. There was a small crack on the bottom side near the strap pin that has been professionally repaired to the point you can only see it in certain light in the finish layer. Comes with original case.
