About This Listing

1980s Fresher Refined Series Explorer

A super cool and fun offering from Fresher Japan in the 80s, the FRS series was the ultimate in shred-tastic guitars and basses with many models equipped with single high output pickups, high mass tremolo systems and super fast, super playable necks. This is the XS-45 Explorer model and serves up some seriously hair metal 80s vibes. Single Invader style pickup, one volume one tone. Mahogany body with a maple neck and a rosewood fingerboard, scale length a nice and comfortable 25".

Professionally setup with 10-46s, it's playing slinky with a low, fast action and pumps out some massive humbucker tones! Some considerable sticker tan is present across the face of the guitar (you should’ve seen it before), however this is purely aesthetic and you could always put more stickers on it! Aside from this the condition is good with it’s fair share of chips, dings and scratches throughout. The guitar is all original aside from a new Switchcraft jack socket we’ve installed. Case available at extra charge!
