This was my father’s favorite guitar. He was an avid jazz fan and played in bands and busked until Alzheimer’s took his ability away.
1953 Epiphone Zephyr Deluxe Regent in its original Sunburst finish. This was the most high end Archtop offered by Epiphone at the time! Spruce top, flamed maple ply back and sides. Double bound Brazilian rosewood fingerboard, triple bound body, tree of life headstock inlay and all gold hardware! Overall in very good condition less some play wear, finish checking, a few dings/dents and some superficial top cracks. Some binding shrinkage with just one small spot where it separates. Original “Frequensator” replaced with a modern tailpiece. Guitar plays great with nice and low action up and down the neck. Sounds wonderful and comes complete with its original Brown Lifton hard case case.
