Ovation CC257 Celebrity Deluxe 1992 - 1996

This is an Ovation Celebrity Deluxe CC-257. Originally purchased in 1996, I am the original and only owner. It mostly was used at home or studio, with a handful of playing out at private parties and events. While it was a favorite acoustic of mine and a reliable player, I've since moved on to hollowbody electrics with piezo, so I think it's time to let this go to a new home finally.

This particular one features the OP-24+ preamp, which I believe only the last two years production of the CC series had, and a definite upgrade from the preamp in prior year models. It has a rich, full tone unplugged, and the piezo pickup features a three-band EQ control with shaping and mid-shift capability.

The guitar is in excellent shape: nut, bridge, and frets are in great shape and not worn down or uneven, the piezo pickup and electronics function fine without any noise, and tuners are smooth and keep pitch. The only cosmetic flaw is the body binding in the cutaway has some superficial cracks, seen in the photos. The guitar has been restrung with a new set of D'Addario EJ16 strings to E standard.

Case is in good condition, there has been some minor damage to the exterior shell at the bottom but the interior is fine.
