FRAMUS "BEATLE-JOHN LENNON" HOOTENANNY DECEMBER 1964 NATURAL 12 STRING

1964 FRAMUS HOOTENANNY(DECEMBER) GUITAR- ONE OF THE RAREST ‘BEATLE GUITARS”. This guitar is coming out of my personal collection. The guitar is in VERY GOOD TO EXCELLENT shape, ALL ORIGINAL, and EXTREMELY RARE.  This guitar SERIAL NUMBER 52000 AND dated December 1964, about the exact same time John got his FOR THE FILM "HELP"  The Framus Hootenanny John Lennon played one exactly like this sitting next to Ringo in the pit, in the movie HELP! This guitar is what I believe to be in excellent shape.  The finish is lacquered checked but no other issues. New strings plus an extra set of strings to be included.  This guitar is easy to play with good action.   I have seen about 8 of these in my life that were real. I have owned 4 of them. This is one of the four.  A lot of people find a sunburst model and strip them but you can always s a faint color of red on them. One just sold on eBay that your couldn’t even play cause the neck was so warped. The action is low and the neck is straight. Lennon, as well as everyone else, tuned his FRAMUS to ‘D” not “E” to play “Hide your love away”.  That helps take off all the pressure on the necks This guitar is super rare and comes with a non original hard case.  I am selling two of my Framus Hootenanny's and that's it.  No more for sale from me.

In conclusion, this guitar is really beautiful. It’s really hard to find one in this condition. My old saying is “If you can find another guitar as nice or nicer, BUY IT”. They don’t come along often, especially now with all the bogus, modified, non original stuff on guitars nowadays. Thanks for looking.
