The Midimini was Studio Electronics' first series of synthesizers built from scratch. Prior to the Midimini was the Midimoog, which consisted of actual Minimoog circuit boards retrofitted into a rackmount enclosure. The Midimini does not use the original Moog circuit boards, but instead Studio Electronics designed their own boards. Minimoog users will find the layout to be quite familiar with some nice additions such as a dedicated modulation LFO, oscillator sync and switches for aftertouch control.
