A 1969 Fender Competition Blue Mustang in the hands of Kurt Cobain made an entire generation stand up and take notice. This guitar is in the same league as John Lennon's black Rickenbacker, Jimi Hendrix's white Strat, Eddie Van Halen's red Franken-strat and Angus Young's burgundy Gibson SG. They all helped define the music of entire generations.
This 1969 Fender Mustang guitar in Competition Blue lacquer finish is in beautiful condition. With the obvious exception of not being a left-handed model, this 69 Mustang is identical in every way to the Mustang that Kurt Cobain played in Nirvana's Smells Like Teen Spirit video. It's not perfect. You can see some finish checking on the back/top side of the body and a few scratches. Otherwise in spectacular condition. Everything works like it's supposed to. The pictures tell it like it is.

What appears to be the original fender case is included.
