Labyrinth style ribbon mics achieve a psuedo-cardiod polar pattern by way of their construction. This results in a specific midrange tone that you won't find in other types of ribbons. In addition, the top end is extended compared to medium and large format ribbons, putting the high end response closer to that of a condenser, but without the artifacts. A few modifications bring this mic to another level. I will not build clones, replicas, etc, but will offer a design that fits the visual style of the era.
International buyers, please contact me before bidding for a shipping quote. Thank you!
