About This Listing

The Eastman MD915-BD mandolin offers classic “F” style design and construction with a handcarved solid Adirondack spruce top, carved solid, highly flamed maple back and sides, for stunning looks and articulate tone.

The finish is Eastman’s thin, truetone lacquer with multi-ply tortoiseshell binding on the top, back fingerboard and headstock. A flame maple neck and ebony fingerboard (with abalone dot inlays) and adjustable ebony bridge add distinctive appearance and playing ease.

We’re consistently impressed with Eastman’s attention to fit and finish on their mandolins, as well as their excellent tone. They are imported; they aren't collectibles from America’s golden instrument-manufacturing era, but they offer great sound and looks at a reasonable price. We like that. A hardshell vinyl case is included.
