Francisco Montero Aguilera Negra
A fine flamenco guitar that is nicely situated in the era of Paco de Lucia when a versatile Flamenca Negra sound became popular.
The East Indian back and sides yield a rich and balanced sound and the spruce top gives plenty of clarity and bite when you attack the note.
This guitar has many interesting features including a 12 hole tie block and a radiused fingerboard that aids in fretting.
The beautifully carved headstock veneer shows off the light and dark wood to great advantage.
Having been born in 1988 the instrument has a few finish dings on the side and at the top of the headstock but nothing major.
The label indicates a change of location for the makers shop during construction from Barcelona to a suburb near by.
650 mm string length and 52 mm nut width. Action is 3.3 mm at the 12th fret on the bass side, there is room to go lower if need be.
