I purchased this new in the mid 1980s. All original. Good condition. I replaced the battery clip and re-soldered some wires to the tone control circuit board recently. There is a chip in one of the mounting holes on the right side of the pickup (it is visible in the picture). The shielding on the pickups is intact. Everything is fully functional. Includes: PE-1 precision bass pickup; preamp; sweep filter tone control; original box; instruction sheet; and pamphlet. Connections are solder-less and gold-plated. To explain the sweep filter tone control, the pamphlet states: “Tunable Alembic Filter (tone control) is continuously adjustable from 180 Hz to 6 kHz.”
