About This Listing

This is a reproduction of the 1933 Martin D-45 design first built for Gene Autry. Back and sides are East Indian Rosewood; top, old growth Sitka Spruce; neck , Honduras Mahogany. One interesting feature is the X-brace is made from Brazilian Rosewood in the tradition of the great luthier, Roy Noble. The neck joins the body at the 12th fret and delivers a slightly warmer, more open tone, and has beautifully realized highs with the commanding bass presence typical of these guitars. This is the ideal singer/song writer guitar - it sounds great strummed, flat-picked, or fingerstyle.
