This guitar was owned by Harold Bradley and was used to record many hit songs in the 60's and 70's. it was then given to Ray Edenton and used extensively in recordings like Marty Robbins and hundreds more artists As part of the Nashville "A" Team.
1959 Conde Hermanos Flamenco
650 mm Scale 50 mm Nut. Original Bone Nut and Bone Saddle. Domingo Esteso headstock. Domed very Fine to Fine grain Spruce soundboard (Antonio de Torres style) and Indian Rosewood back and sides. 7 finely sanded fan braces. Closely placed separate kerfing pieces attaching the Soundboard to the sides and a single band attaching the back to the sides. Ebony Fret board. Original Deluxe engraved Fustero Gears (older gears are smaller than newer ones) with Pearloid tuning knobs.
Made in Madrid. This was made at the Calle Santiago Maganto 4, Pozuelo de Alarcon shop in Madrid, which was active between 1957-1968.
The additional name "Conde Hermanos" on the 1959 - 1964 green and white label stands for the three brothers Mariano, Faustino and Julio Conde. The greatest flamenco guitarists played their guitar, and the Conde Hermans name is famous worldwide.
This flamenco instrument is very light with a typical Spanish sound. The response of the sound is immediate with a powerful and warm timbre. It is both percussive and very melodious, perfectly adapted to flamenco playing. It is therefore a superb vintage guitar with an impressive sound and an important history.
