About This Listing

Selling my Gibson 1962 Reissue SG. Listing in Fair condition because it has had some repairs done to the heel joint (work done before the person I bought it from even came into possession with it) but the repair has lasted years and through lots of playing from me. Also a lot of the hardware is all aftermarket. More details below:

- The bridge pickup is a '57 Classic that came out of a ES-335 that I bought also from Reverb (which was uncovered). The pickup cover was bought separate and attached by me. I think the solder holding it in place came loose and now there is a little play. Just needs to be touched up and will be fine. There is also no pickup lead wire to spare. I had to stretch it to it's Absolute Limit to solder it in (oversight by me) so if you decide to take it out, probably best to just put a new pickup in entirely.

- One of the screws for the bridge pickup (to set the height) is completely loose. Not sure if the wood stripped out or if the screw just came loose and needs to be put back in. I never play the guitar anymore so have not looked into how or what exactly the issue is there. I would think it's a simple fix.

- There are cracks near the input jack in the wood. The jack itself holds fine and everything electronics wise works. Did my best to capture everything I could in the pictures

- Tune-O-Matic bridge and stopbar are both aftermarket

- Tuners were replaced with locking Grovers to improve tuning stability

- Comes with the OHSC; however it is in poor condition. One of the latches is broken and there is some obvious wear and tear. It will still stay shut and I've been able to transport it without issues so far.

*The toggle switch has been switched from the Orange one you see to a White one. This is not photographed, but figured it should be noted.

As the listing says I'm selling it as-is. She needs just a little TLC and I know it'll be back in it's full glory. Incredible guitars and I played this one for years and loved it. But I got to downsize the collection and she deserves a better home where she'll actually get played. If you have any other questions just let me know! I'll do my best to answer.
