Original vintage c 1966 Ampeg branded Burns “split sound” Jazz Guitar in gorgeous playing condition! These rarest “Ampeg” models are killer players, with a totally unique look and sound all their own. The split sound pickups are stratty, yet hot, almost jazzmaster/ p90 voiced, as befits the offset body, and custom vibrato system. The pickup/ tone selector also has funky, very 60’s settings; ‘split sound,’ ‘Jazz,’ ‘treble,’ and WILD DOG!
Cosmetically, she’s quite lovely as well, with a gorgeous flamed maple body and neck, and superfine red to black burst finish. She’s been well kept and well cared for over the years; no cracks, breaks, repairs, or funny business, just a killer 60’s rarity, and a real looker! She ships in a quality gig bag, not pictured.
