Ibanez Artist AR-300 1981 - Cherry Sunburst

IBANEZ ARTIST AR-305 1981 W/CASE

Made in Japan 1981 Artist model from Ibanez. All restoration work done by Mike Lull Guitar Works, Bellevue, Washington, roughly 20+ years ago. Refretted. Plekked. Original Coil Taps on both pickups works great. I really like the neck humbucker pickup coil split to single. Bone nut. Gotoh tuners.

Pickups are either early 2000s Van Zandts or Fralins. Sorry I can't remember which and I don't want to take them out to check at this point--but good pickups, 8k and 9k set. I think the finish is described as Cherry Sunburst.

Guitar has some dings and buckle rash on the back and tarnishing and a wee bit of rust on the hardware--see pictures. Think of it as naturally reliced. It's obviously no case queen and has seen a few stages over the years. Overall, though, despite some obvious wear and tear, I would rate the guitar at somewhere between Very Good and Good and presents very well.

Binding has turned a vintage yellow and shows some crazing with one area of the binding missing (see picture). However, the binding is not loose. Serial number is H814033. Weight is 9.2 lbs.

Case is not original and has its share of scrapes and marks but holds the guitar securely, all latches work. Guitar will be de-tuned for shipment. Naturally any buyer will have to set this guitar up for their own preferences. 10 gauge strings currently on the guitar.

I do need to mention that I have two cats so the guitar may have some cat hair included. You clean and clean but somehow cat hair will find a way.
