Cicada’s unique feature is the system’s ability to transform electrical signals into precise mechanical vibrations capable of generating acoustic modulation, allowing you to control and interact with acoustic synthesis in a spontaneous and playful way.
Audio or control voltage signals are translated into mechanical vibrations and then converted back into new audio signals by the contact microphones contained in the soundboards.
For example by combining different materials and touching the components with your own fingers, the user has the opportunity to deform the final sound immensely and set it in motion.
