This is just a wonderful vintage instrument that I purchased, rehabbed and cleaned. There were only two dents and those were removed by a qualified repair person who also added new corks for the spit valves and inspected the instrument. At over 120 years of age, it does not have 100% compression of course, but it's absolutely playable! All valves and slides work smoothly. An historic work of art made in Grand Rapids Michigan. Serial number (pictured) is #1985. It was played and stored carefully by whoever the owner was. The original case is NOT musty or nasty. (I cleaned and disinfected it too). The case does show age appropriate wear of course and only the center latch works. I am selling because I'm not a brass player. It makes me wish I was! All questions welcome. Thanks for stopping by to look.
