About This Listing

Stunning 1983 Red Burst Ovation Adamas 1687-2 in Excellent Condition!

We love an Ovation in-store, But this Adamas 1687-2 has to be one of the coolest we've seen! This particular Adamas from 1983 is nothing short of jaw-dropping and has been extremely well-kept by its previous owner, not only does it come with its original brown Ovation Hardshell Case, but with the accompanying Ovation vinyl case cover! Weighing in at a comfortable 6.05lb, this Adamas is stunning and is the complete package!

With barely any sign of use, the frets are perfect, the setup is wonderful with a lovely "soft" playing action. This guitar was part of a very large collection which would explain why it has spent most of its life in its case.

The acoustic tone delivered by these innovative and well-engineered instruments is very impressive. The combination of carbon fiber and unique top bracing gives this guitar volume balance and headroom. It is very dynamic and sensitive to the player's touch.

When you plug this Adamas into a PA acoustic amp or mixer, it really comes alive, on stage or in the studio you will not be disappointed with this guitar's performance. The electronics really are second to none with a truly innovative design where each string has its own individual pickup specifically tuned in at that frequency, Its stereo outputs allow you to divide the higher and lower strings, and send them to two different amplifiers or PA channels

As is standard practice with all of our instruments (new or old) this '83 Adamas has been through our on-site workshop where it has been thoroughly checked and tested by our in-store professional technician to ensure this Ovation is in tip-top condition for its new owner, & ready to take to the stage once more!
