Boss BF-2 Flanger, Made in Taiwan, orange label. Tested and working — all controls and switching function as intended.
The BF-2 is one of the genuine industry-standard analog flangers — a BBD-based circuit running from subtle modulation and doubling, through chorus-like shimmer, to the full metallic jet-engine sweep, all via four controls (Manual, Depth, Rate, Resonance). The design stayed virtually unchanged across its entire 1980–2001 run, so this Taiwan-era unit delivers the same core flanger voice as the earlier, pricier Japanese versions — a great way into the classic BF-2 sound without the MIJ premium. The orange label itself was short-lived (1994–1997), shared only with the CE-2B.
