Here’s a killer Strat from the Fender Custom Shop—built in 2006 by masterbuilder Yuri Shiskov. It’s a ‘64 Closet Classic model in Olympic White, part of the Builder Select series, made to capture the vibe of a vintage Strat that’s been tucked away for decades.

The Alder body chosen by Yuriy resonates beautifully with balanced vintage tone. The mint green 3-ply pickguard gives it a nice vintage vibe, and the nitro finish on the maple neck lets the wood breathe and naturally age over time.

This one isn’t in mint or collector-grade condition—it has a few dings and marks, which are all shown clearly in the photos—but it plays and sounds absolutely fantastic. If you’re after a top-tier, masterbuilt Strat with serious mojo and tone, this one delivers. I fell in love with the moment I wrapped my hands around it - it is the perfect 60s C with vintage specs. The Fat 50s ensures clear highs and low end response.

The word on the street is that Yuriy has stopped taking any orders from individuals. He has been working at the Fender Custom Shop for 25 years, making him one of the most senior builders at Fender.

Oh, search around reverb and the rest of the internet and you won't find many of these - they were only 100 made.
