About This Listing
I have absolutely no idea why I’m selling this guitar!
Buy it before I change my mind!
Absolutely killer, period correct Super Strat of the mid 1980’s! This is not an import Chandler but a real, custom shop, San Francisco era, USA made, shredmaster of a guitar.
This is basically a dead ringer for Steve Vai’s pink “no logo” Jackson that he had made famous during that time. Maybe a tribute piece of some kind?
Features: James Tyler Guitars active pick up switching system, with on board Demeter mid boost. There’s an active 9v circuit with an additional humbucker in the control cavity. I’ve had three Tyler’s, this sounds exactly like the early Tyler systems that used the Tom Anderson wound pick ups to Jim’s spec. I’m almost sure this was a partscaster that was modified by Jim himself in the early days. That super clean strat tone dominated the LA studio scene at the time.
It’s got an Ibanez low pro tremolo licensed by Floyd Rose.
Rosewood fretboard with 6100 jumbos
I’ve owned this guitar for a few years now. I added some black Grover tuners and had it set up by my guy.
Incredible player.
If I can’t get what I want for it, I’ll just keep it.
