Spruce top, Cypress back & sides
This fine guitar was made shortly after Manuel left the Ramirez workshop. It is very tipical of his guitars from that time - dry, while punchy, clear, bright with some richness, and addictive sustain. The played-in age is immediately noticeable.
I personally owned a 1964 Contreras classical guitar with Spruce top and Indian Rosewood back & sides. It had the same characteristics with the richness and bolder volume of the rosewood.
It's in exceptional condition for this vintage.
