Vintage Elk EM-4 Professional ECHO machine with copy of manual
This is a sought after ELK tape echo machine. Great size with lots of features and if I may say so myself, a handsome little devil. The tape heads are in great condition, nice and quiet, the cabinet is nice, the face plate clean. I opened it up and hit the pots and switches, cleaned and demagnetized the heads, cleaned and lubricated the pinch wheel, cleaned the cabinet and polished all the chrome, tightened up the tape and it is ready to go. I priced this low so not accepting offers.
Three mic and two instrument inputs. 5 mode choices, repeat amount, echo volume and speed control, as well as bass and treble controls. Wet only switch at the rear. Labeled as vocal/instrument
Elk is a popular vintage brand in Japan and for good reason. They are very well built, quality machines. This will gently oscillate or give you a nice simple slap back echo and anything in between. Plus variations of swell. The prices on these, like most tape echos are going crazy here. I sold them on reverb last year for what I pay for them now and I spend hours going through these machines getting them ready for you to enjoy.

It's in very nice condition the tolex has a few minor spots. The VU meter works great and when a foot switch is connected and switched the VU meter turns red as it should but the echos remain. The face plate could be cleaned a little more to make this excellent.
