Multivox Premier 90 tube spring reverb for sale. This is a very old tube reverb unit. It is in working condition and sounds cool! It has been modified to eliminate the attached power and foot switch cables. It now has a modern grounded standard IEC plug receptacle, a 1/4 inch instrument in, and 1/4 inch in for the on/off foot switch, all within the carpeted storage compartment—making it much easier to manage and transport (see pics). The tube amp inside has been left alone.
A brand new Fender spring reverb tank has been installed: Here’s the specs on that:
8 ohm replacement 4-spring (4AB3C1B) reverb unit with RCA style input and output jacks. Long decay design (2.75-4.0 seconds). Mounts horizontally to floor of cabinet with open side down. Used in Prosonic™, Showman 50, '94 Twin, Custom Vibrolux Reverb®, Custom VibrasonIc, Pro Tube Series, '63 Vibroverb, '65 Twin Reverb®,
'65 Deluxe Reverb®, '65 Super Reverb®, '65 Twin Custom®, Vibro-King®, Dual Professional, Super-Sonic™ Series, '64 Vibroverb, Princeton® Recording Amp, and '65 Princeton Reverb® amplifiers manufactured from 1991-Present.)
The box itself is very old and characterful with a new bottom board installed and then given new rubber feet. The unit is in working condition. It sounds good and unique. I think these were used on some early surf guitar records. Further servicing and amp gain modifications would probably make it even crazier cool. As is, it sounds warm with a nice longish decay and breaks up nicely when driven. Not your everyday spring reverb!
