About This Listing

This really cool Mini Banjo Uke is known as the “Baby Gibson” model was popular in college glee clubs in the 20’s and 30’s. The Sopranino scale (31.5 cm.) is easy for small hands. She has a nice brown stain finish w/beautiful shell inlay dot markers w/a brown stain resonator back. It got a “The Gibson” script logo on its straight mahogany neck. This is a 1 family owned Uke for over 3 generations in great condition. Brad Izor’s grandfather bought it new…then handed to Brads dad & onto Brad whom held out for many years before moving it forward to its next of kin. Very few nicks or scratches. Its very original & still sports its original drum head material also in excellent shape, and string height is perfect. Very playable. Original Grover tuning machines are very easy to use. No cracks or repairs. Very little play wear. Metal parts are shiny with almost no rust or tarnish. A very well preserved and very playable piece of history. Recommended for players and collectors alike. Comes in its original soft shell case.
