Hey now! You're looking at a gem of an instrument.
This is a 1920's Gibson UB-1 Banjolele.
It weighs 2 lbs. 11" scale.
Gibson has such a rich heritage when it comes to folk instruments.
Their banjos, mandolins, and ukuleles from the '20s and '30s were regarded by many as some of the best ever made.
This '20s UB-1 is an amazing example of an affordable Gibson instrument from Gibson's golden era of folk instruments.
Available for $10 when initially released, the UB-1 features a 6" banjo style plate resonator with a closed back, that packs an unreal punch despite its size.
The neck/body are made from light mahogany, pearl fret markers, and "The Gibson" early style headstock logo.
It's in fair overall condition - especially considering it's a century old!
Normal play wear - marks/scratches, along with some repaired cracks.
Please carefully look through all of my detailed photos for a better visual description.
Don't miss out on the chance to get your hands on an amazing 100 year old Banjolele from none other than Gibson with this UB-1
Thanks for looking!
