1976 Fender Telecaster. White OHSC

Serial Number: 700924 , Weight: 9.2 lbs

Nothing Beats a Vintage Telecaster, this one is just Killer. When the White starts to fade is when these start looking so cool and this one has that look. This 1976 Fender Telecaster in excellent condition and in perfect working order, 100% original except for the Ashtray cover and the Knobs, one was missing when we got Her. , and complete with the original hardshell case which the sprong latches are missing but the center is there and holds it fine.. Ash body and one-piece maple neck with a slender, fast-feeling profile carve. Acoustically, the guitar has a smooth, snappy tone with a nice midrange kick that’s present yet not too pronounced. The original single coils offer an array of classic Tele tonalities, with a biting, clear bridge pickup that equal parts chewy twang, complex midrange, and taut, sinewy low end. The neck pickup has a smooth, rich sound that's still sparkling and clear. Weighing 9lbs 2oz, this Telecaster has been given Our Pro Setup and it plays out perfect.

The maple neck has a slender C-shaped profile carve with moderate shoulder and a hair more overall heft as you travel up the fingerboard, measuring .810" deep at the 1st fret and .920" at the 12th. The smooth gloss on the neck profile is quite clean, with very faint palm wear along the fretboard edges down to the bare maple. The maple fretboard retains the original slender fretwire, showing light, uniform wear beneath the strings on frets 1-3, with wear extending beneath the plain strings and growing fainter until fret 8. The guitar plays cleanly up the 25 1/2" scale, and the neck is straight with a responsive, optimally adjusted truss rod. The nut measures 1 5/8" in width, and the headstock is fitted with the original Schaller-made Fender F tuners with bright chrome plating. The S8-prefix serial number is also present on the headstock face, matching the serialized sticker present in the neck pocket.

The electronics are 100% original, original pickups, and 1Meg CTS pots.
The Olympic White gloss finish is 100% original with no touchup or overspray, gracefully yellowed on the top and back, with additional ambering on the body perimeter the Cosmetic wear is otherwise limited to some strap-related discoloration near the rear strap button, some minor marks on the body as a whole, largely clustered on the back lower bout body edge and perimeter, and pick scuffing across the guard. All and all it is what you would expect a 1976 Tele to look like.

The original black tolex hardshell case is included

Seems to be 100%, Pickups, Pots, all match up. We went through it and it is just killer, the only thing we added was the Ashtray and the Knobs ( one was missing) the Guy we purchased from said it was gone a long time ago and he had bought this in 1981 from the original owner.

CONDITION: I would rate it Excellent, it is Vintage and it has the Patina to match 1976 and the Paint is looking so good. There are a few dings and paint wear all that you would expect from a almost 50 year old Vintage Fender. There is one finish crack that you can see in the pictures it is fine. It's wear like this that makes these so Killer. The Frets are fine in great shape as well as the electronics.
