The original 1st issue "Navarre" has to be the rarest Jumbo guitar ever produced. Its gorgeous 2-tone Dark Sunburst finish w/its all maple construction having a wonderful flamey maple back & sides as well as a cool fat 3 piece maple neck. Its got 1 of the 1st large Tortoise-shell factory celluloid Pickgards, a Solid Peghead w/a G-Shield inlay & a matching ebony bridge. This is a super early production F-50 bearing serial #2168. 1954 is when the 1st of these F-50's were released, this one has prototypical early "rounded edge a la Gretsch" White Pearl Block inlays & a set of super clean single line gold Kluson tuners. This is the nicest earliest examples we have ever encountered & its just like the one that Buddy Holly played in 1957 but his had the newer type 3 piece inlays. Other than a small input jack pro-repaired on its lower right side, this F-50 is Museum Quality in all respects & comes in its original Brown tolex hard case.
