*** BEFORE ORDERING, PLEASE REVIEW THE NOTES AT THE END OF THE LISTING ABOUT DIMENSIONS AND OPTIONS ***

This is a custom-made (by me, owner of Turner Pickups) multicoil bass pickup, made to fit into a 4 string Ibanez ATK bass. This is for the "older" ATK basses that have the pickup without the mounting tabs.

This will work with either passive or active electronics, and has 4 coil leads (as well as a lead for grounding of the poles and shielding), and can be wired in series, parallel, "standard P" (neck-side coils on E and A strings, bridge-side coils on D and G strings), or "reverse P" (bridge-side coils on E and A strings, neck-side coils on D and G strings).

The "multicoil" term can technically apply to any pickup that contains more than one coil. However, the term is typically reserved for pickups where one or more individual coils are used to sense the movement of a single string.

Turner Pickups' multicoils are configured with 2 coils per string. The high turn count, relative to the small size of the coils, allows for a good mix of high output and high resonant frequency. The resulting tone is punchy, rich in mids, while retaining excellent clarity.

Tech details:

Coils are wound with 42AWG wire.

Pickup utilizes a Ceramic (C8) bar magnet, mild steel keepers, steel set screws for the adjustable pole pieces, and a stainless steel baseplate.

Each coil has a DC resistance of ~1.7K Ohms, so since each column of 4 coils is wired in series, the DC resistance measures ~6.8K Ohms for each column.

Hence, series wiring comes out to ~13.6K Ohms, and parallel wiring comes out to ~3.4K Ohms. Standard P or Reverse P wiring comes out to ~6.8K Ohms.

If you're looking for a unique sound from your ATK bass or other similarly equipped bass, this is pickup is for you!

IMPORTANT NOTE ABOUT PICKUP DIMENSIONS:

This pickup is meant to drop into the "older" Ibanez ATK pickup route without the mounting tabs, but please be sure to check the depth of your route. The height of this pickup is around 1.0", so on a typical bass, the depth of the pickup route will need to be about 13/16".

Also, the pole spacing, at 0.73", will work best in the bridge/sweet spot position, since the poles will line up better with the strings there.

Black mounting screws and surgical tubing (used much like springs or foam, as in other pickups) included.

IMPORTANT NOTE ABOUT OPTIONS:
