The Martin 000-16 Streetmaster Acoustic Guitar combines Adirondack Spruce and Rosewood back and sides at an unheard-of price! This guitar punches well above its weight class!

Adirondack Spruce is the stronger, stiffer cousin of Sitka Spruce. It produces a louder-sounding guitar with a bigger low-end and brighter top-end. Considered by most to be the best Spruce out there, there certainly is a price-premium associated with it. On the 000-16, Martin paired this revered tonewood with Indian Rosewood, another equally revered tonewood that has always been reserved for top-of-the-line guitars. 

The neck is made from Mahogany and carved to the Modified Low-Oval Profile with the High-Performance Taper. Considered by many to be the most playable neck Martin makes, you'll be able to rack up the hours of practice with this fine-playing acoustic guitar. 1.75" nut width and 24.9" scale length cover the remaining important details. 

Martin's popular StreetMaster® finish was introduced into their solid mahogany 15 Series in 2017 as a respectful nod to the working musician. Now Martin has applied this beautifully distressed finish to East Indian rosewood and Adirondack spruce for the first time, and it is a fine addition to our 16 Series. The Adirondack spruce top also includes our proprietary VINTAGE TONE SYSTEM® (VTS), which ages the wood for a truly vintage tone that you’d normally have to wait many decades to enjoy.
