After 73 years its hard to build a T-style guitar that hasn’t been done before. It is arguably the most modified electric guitar ever produced. Well if our latest build isn’t one of a kind, we are more than pretty sure you won’t see another like it on your block. What makes ours different is not any one or two elements, rather the combination.
So, what did we do? We rear routed and rearranged the controls. The volume pot is forward, the tone pot is back, and the pickup selector switch is in the middle. A toggle is used rather than a blade switch. We’ve fitted a couple of vintage style humbuckers, 6 saddle bridge, roasted maple neck, and locking tuners. Specs follow.
Body: Basswood in Arctic white
Neck: Roasted Maple, 22 medium jumbo frets, 9.5” radius, 43mm bone nut, medium C contour, satin finished back and fretboard.
Pickups: Carparelli Alnico 2 humbuckers
Controls: 1 volume (push/pull splits neck pickup), 1 tone (push/pull splits bridge pickup), 500K Bournes pots, .022uf PIO capacitor, Switchcraft 3-way toggle switch and output jack.
Hardware: 6 saddle string through body bridge, Tone Ninja locking tuners, Electrosocket jack cover.
Tones: With independent coil splitting for each pickup, a total of 8 tones are selectable. Going from warm and full to bright and clear, you can take on most musical genres.
