The 09 is the genesis of Jean Larrivée’s ‘recipe’, and reached perfection with the first L-09 originally built in the 1970’s.  40 years later, not much has changed. A perfect combination of East Indian Rosewood back and sides, Sitka Spruce top, and powered by Jean’s legendary X-Brace system. The 09 Series delivers a powerful, yet balanced, dynamic range.

Whether in the studio or live, flat-picking or strumming, this true American workhorse offers all the response and the tone you will need. Standard features include JCL 18:1 tuners, flamed maple trim, and abalone rosette.

Larrivée makes some of the finest guitars in the world in sunny southern California. All of their guitars are made in the United States of America. Their guitars are built with only the finest solid woods available – no plys, laminates (layered), or synthetic woods are ever used in construction. Larrivée uses all solid wood construction, dovetail neck joints, and ebony fretboards and bridges in all of their acoustic guitars, from the least expensive series to the most expensive. They also use guitar woods that are certified as sustainably harvested, and engage in as much selective logging as possible.
