- 1983 vintage Quarter Pound Flat-SSL-4 made in USA. Sticker indicates pickup was wound by the legendary Connie Rocha. "High output true single-coil. Recommended for blues, classic rock, garage, heavy rock, and classic metal. More than twice the power of a traditional single-coil. The result is a fat, punchy sound; similar to a P-90. It's clean at lower volumes and screamin' when cranked. The hand polished, quarter-inch diameter magnets are matched with a powerful coil winding to deliver great sustain, making this one of our most popular single-coil pickups. Does not use a cover." It's in 100% working condition. In very good condition, just some pick marks from regular use. (Includes Seymour Duncan box, and original wiring schematics hardcopy document.) Also see confirmation email from Seymour Duncan (in photos) .
- (Background - in June 1983 I purchased a JV Fender Squire Stratocaster (see attached photos), and also installed three Seymour Duncan pickups also purchased in 1983. The guitar has been in secure storage for 30 years and I have recently removed the three vintage Seymour Duncan pickups, which I am currently offering for sale. All pickups are fantastic sounding - great 1980s construction and sound quality.)
