Here is a vintage Gibson C-0 classical guitar. This guitar had many problems when I first acquired it. The neck had broken free from the top as can be seen from the cracks next to the fingerboard extension. All of the back braces were loose and had to be reglued as did the brace underneath the fingerboard and a couple others beneath the top. The back was removed to do this. The neck looked straight so I guessed it would be a good project to undertake a restoration on. When it was put back together there was still a slight hump where the neck met the body. I found out the previous owner might have glued the saddle into the bridge which made it difficult to try and lower the action. I decided it would be better to pass it on to a full-time luthier who might have the tools available for this process. Other than that, the guitar looks to be in great shape. After I mated the back on to the body again there was a slight lip on either side of the lower bouts. One of the tuners is also bent and I made no attempt at trying to straighten it. This guitar looks to be a factory 2nd as noted from the stamp on the back of the headstock above the serial number. These are becoming sought after and hard to come by.
