1964 Kawai SD-2W guitar

Hello. Up for sale is a nice 1960s Kawai SD2W model electric guitar. I have it listed as 1964 but these can be 64-66.

This guitar is in good original condition. They are loosely know as the Hound Dog Taylor model since that guy was knows to use Kawai guitars. This is the two pickup model which his cooler to me than the 3 or 4 pickup model.

This one is in decent condition. It plays and sounds good. It is original except for the knobs and maybe the whammy bar. The whammy bar functions normally however just that the bar might not be original.

Condition wise the guitar is good. It has wear and tear in the form of dings and scratches on the body. The neck is in decent condition and the guitar is in good playing condition. These models have nice big round mahogany necks that have almost a Gibson feel. There are some wear marks on the fretboard and some normal fret wear. The fingerboard and frets have been cleaned up and polished.

The strap button on the upper horn was moved 1/3" of an inch and the old hole was filled. You don't really see it much when you use the guitar however. The guitar is sporting modern Strat knobs. I may have something a little more original looking.

Sold as is no returns. I will carefully pack it up and ship it in a gig bag.
