For sale is a rare and beautifully built Hohner Professional L59 model, dating from the 1980s.
These models were Hohner’s nod to a ‘59 LP, as denoted by the model number. They featured:
- Flamed maple top with sunburst finish
- Set mahogany neck
- Dark real rosewood fingerboard with trapezoid inlays
- 2x Hohner humbucker pickups
- Bound body, headstock and neck
- Chrome hardware
- Aged plastics with 4x gold vol/tone knobs
Of impeccable build quality, I believe these were produced in Korea and are a solid rival for any LP style guitar.
Most striking is it’s gorgeous flamed maple top, under a beautiful factory sunburst.
All original, with no modifications, breaks or repairs.
In excellent condition for its age, clean save for two notable dings to the back (pictured), one to the bottom and light playing wear commensurate with 40 years of gentle play.
Classic humbucker tones provided by the stock pickups, paired wonderfully with the set neck configuration.
No case, but will be well packed for transit.
