Zager's top of the line "OM" style cutaway, with fishman aura electronics. Zager's claim to fame is their "easy play" guitar design and setup. Slightly wider strings, slightly more radiused fretboard, slight differences in setup, all culminate in a beautiful and beautiful sounding guitar that truly is easier on your fingers. Rather than go on about Zager's I'll assume you've already done your research, and or you can find excellent reviews including
In forums you'll find Zager naysayers but invariably move have ever owned or tried one. Among owners the reviews are overwhelmingly excellent, and customer service from the company is likewise excellent - you can email Denny Zager directly and you'll get a prompt and thorough response. And if availability of used guitars is an indication of their quality, you'll find that only a handful of Zager's are ever available on the used market nationwide, because they're keepers.
I'm the original owner of this guitar (since 5/2019) and it was my first high end purchase. It's been case kept and never left our air conditioned, smoke free home except on its case, for a few open Cajun jams and visits to friends and family homes. It's in excellent condition and SINGS.
New it runs $2395.
Because I'm limited to 10 photos I've put what I think are a decent assortment but I'm happy to answer any questions AND send you as many photos as you want, guitar and/or case.
Shipping costs are on the rise, and my shipping price covers box and materials, AND Reverb's mandatory insurance which will run around $50. The case is substantial so the box will be big and shipping will unfortunately be expensive. Case humidity monitor works fine but needs a battery. We're in Louisiana and don't need to worry about humidity as much as other areas. Particularly with a guitar that's practically lived its entire life case-kept in an air conditioned home as is the case here.
Please note that I list all my for sale items across multiple platforms (Facebook Marketplace, gear page, a few bulletin boards, and by word of mouth among my guitar buddies and at jams). Obviously, my Louisiana peeps have an advantage buying locally, but Reverb is an amazing marketplace and I price my items competitively. I entertain reasonable offers and try as hard as I can to be a straight shooter and describe items and answer questions accurately and honestly. If you're watching this guitar and it suddenly vanishes, I may have temporarily deleted the listing if I've agreed to show the guitar to someone locally in the immediate future. Usually someone willing to drive to Baton Rouge to see gear is legitimately prepared to buy but if such a deal fall through I’ll reactivate the listing and it should come up again in your follow list.
