Westerly made 12 string jumbos are incredibly sounding instruments. This makes no exception. Warm, mellow, with any easy action despite the 12 strings. Intonation is just perfect throughout the neck, and holds a capo as it should.
It's rare: has a double pickguard from the factory (as indicated in the Guild label inside the soundhole, see pic). According to Hans Moust's book, these were special custom orders. Actually, almost 10 years ago, the two pickguards started warping (very common on these old guitars) and had to be replaced with new ones to prevent the so called "pickguard crack". Now has two cool (in my opinion) leopard tortoise pickguards, in the style of Clarence White, but they can be easily changed with black ones.
After almost 50 years, this guitar is in great condition, thus the best choice for both the player and the collector. No cracks, fret buzz, or structural issues. Only one innocent scratch on the neck (visible in one photo). The 2 truss rods work properly.
I am the second owner of this guitar: it comes with the original receipt, dating back when it was sold in the US in the 70s (see pic).
The original luxury Guild hardcase is included, and is in excellent shape as well.
