Ibanez JS1000 Black Pearl 2004 Electric Guitar

Here for sale we have an Ibanez JS1000 electric guitar in Black Pearl finish. Built in Japan in 2004 this guitar features a Basswood body, a Maple neck, a 22 fret Rosewood fingerboard, Gotoh SG381 machine heads, along with a pair of DiMarzio humbuckers, wired to master volume/tone controls, a 3-way toggle switch, a push/pull coil split and a push/pull high pass filter.

The neck plays well, offering a smooth and fluid playing surface, feeling slim in the hand without being overly thin. The contoured body feels really comfortable in the arms, along with the dual cutaways giving excellent access to the upper register.

The DiMarzio humbuckers sound thick and full, with a solid low end, a tight and punchy midrange, along with a clear, cutting top end. The push/pull pots give excellent tonal variations, offering single coil voicings, along with the high pass filter really helping focus the tone, great for helping solos poke out.

Aesthetic Condition:

Headstock: Scratch marking is visible to the face of the headstock which is noticeable, there is finish chipping to the top edge.

Neck: Finish dents are visible and can be felt in playing position.

Body: A noticeable finish dent is visible to the edge where your arm would rest, which has been coloured in. Scratch markings are visible to the body at various points.

Condition of Frets:

There are visible fret dents across much of the range of the guitar, not affecting sustain or playability, however the guitar may need a fret dress in the not-too-distant future and there is slight buzzing to the high E string that can be heard acoustically with heavier playing styles.
