Fender Bullet Version 1 "Telecaster" S1 1981 with Original Case
Fender Bullet Series 1 electric guitar, made in the Fullerton factory, USA 1981 and designed by the famed luthier John Page.
This model is much loved by the French band Phoenix, Lloyd Cole and Graham Coxon.
This guitar has a lovely rosewood board and is the metal pickguard version which I think is the more unique and interesting version of the Bullet guitars.
Features include 25.5" scale neck, 2 single coil pickups with 3 way selector and volume and tone controls.
The guitar has a some marks and chips which I've tried to show in the photos but for 42 years is in very good clean condition imho.
The neck has a vintage soft V feel to it and is a little fuller/deeper than modern telecasters and with a C feel at the fretboard edge.
The frets are in great condition with no grooves and the guitar plays really really well.
They are the slimmer vintage type and it plays so well the guitar may have had a crown, polish, set up etc in the recent past.
Theres a ding on the neck which your hand doesn't touch near the body (see photo) and a small ding on the back of the neck around the 7th fret that I don't notice (and photos struggle to show) whilst playing but could be filled with a tiny drop of varnish.
Comes with its original factory hard case and its original owners handbook.
I think the early Bullet guitars are a great opportunity to get into classic/vintage and great playing and sounding American made guitars at a reasonable price.
And this is in better condition than most I've seen and plays really well imho.
The serial number and the rosewood board suggests this may be in the earlier production runs.
Any questions or try out welcome.
