Epiphone Futura Custom Prophecy Electric Guitar
Manufactured in 2007 at the Samick factory in Indonesia, the Epiphone Futura Custom Prophecy was a limited edition guitar aimed at metal guitarists. The body of the Futura is made of basswood with a beautifully quilted maple top, all finished in a lovely finish called Black cherry. The Futura is fitted with the classic Tune-O-Matic bridge and stop bar tailpiece, Grover mini tuners, and EMG 81 and 85 active pickups. The bolt on maple neck has slim contour and satin finish, and is topped with a 24-fret rosewood fingerboard.
In my ownership I've treated the guitar to the following:
- Thorough clean
- Fretboard treated with lemon oil
- Restring with 10-52 strings and full setup to a comfortable, low action
There are a few marks commensurate with age and usage, the worst being on the corner of the upper horn as is typical with large, pointy guitars. Other than this the guitar is in excellent condition, and plays and sounds fantastic.
An old but functional fitted gig bag will be included with the guitar.
Overall, this is a fabulous example of a modern but rare electric guitar in excellent working order.
UK postage is priced at £25. Collection from near Yate, Bristol welcomed.
Sold as seen. No returns.
