Buscanti Newport 2022 - Tobacco Burst

After nearly 18 years of modifying and building basses and guitars, my brother and I have decided to move on to doing other things. This is likely to be the final bass you'll see made by us.

We're bassists that played professionally at one time in our lives. We started this venture with the goal of creating a bass that provides familiarity in feel and styling, with a diverse tone to fit well within the gigging musician's needs. We use quality parts and spend quality time in making each bass. This is our Newport bass serialized #7016 weighing in at just 8 pounds 12 ounces possesses a unique tonal spectrum that delivers 2 distinct eq platforms.

We have to call this "MINT" condition as opposed to "NEW" because the Reverb selling policy requires that we maintain a UPC code program to list items as "brand new." That's something we're simply not able to do. Priced at 20% below custom build orders this bass consists of a contoured forearm rest, exquisite wood figuring custom pearl abalone inlay at the 12th fret and laser burned etched logos. There are 6 coats of lacquer on the body and 6 coats of polyurethane on the neck. We installed large .55 nickel frets, with hipshot and Gotoh hardware. The nut is custom cut brass.

Width of the neck measures 1.5" at the nut, 2.5" at the heel and 12" C-profiled radius.

The electronics feature EMG JV pickups with our modified EMG electronics package we call "cross-over" for the added function of toggling between 2 separate equalization platforms (Standard Tone and EXB Expander).
