Legendary Lynyrd Skynyrd guitarist Allen Collins said of the Guild X-79, "As soon as I saw this guitar, I knew it was made for me." I dig this guitar immensely, it just doesn't get the attention it deserves next to my other electrics. Often referred to as appealing to hair metal players.... not mentioned enough is the fit for players in the style of Skynyrd and Rossington-Collins Band.
This 1981 X-79 is in Good shape. Multiple minor dings and marks and neckwear as I have captured in the pictures. 24 fret neck is straight - some fretwear - no impact to playability.
Bridge pickup can both sting and twang - and the neck pickup has a nice woodiness to it when clean.
This guitar is VERY playable and any imperfections referenced above are indications of how much its prior owners loved to put this thing to work!
OHSC also shows some cosmetic wear on the outside - very good (to excellent?) condition inside.
Classic Guild headstock.
All parts original stock as far I can tell having read through as many online sources as I can regarding the X-79.
**Will Include 13" x 11" framed Guild Promo with Allen Collins from back in the day.
