This vintage 1979 Takamine is in excellent condition featuring dreadnought size and body shape, rosewood back and sides with decorative backstripe, some say it’s Brazilian rosewood , east Indian rosewood, whichever its a high end rosewood, a solid Sitka spruce top, multiple bound top and back edges, decorative soundhole rosette, black pickguard, rosewood bridge with split bone saddle, white plastic bridge pins with black dot centers, mahogany neck, rosewood fingerboard with mother of pearl dot inlays starting at the fifth fret, bone nut, peg head shape headstock , rosewood peghead overlay with gold Takamine logo, three per side chrome enclosed tuning machines with kidney bean buttons, bound heel cap and original Takamine hardshell case with yellow plush lining.
This guitar has been well kept over many years with barely any playtime on it , two very small mm size dings on the top , one scratch seen on the neck photographed few very minor buckle scratches on the back , rest is pristine condition comes with a new set of strings , nice action , no fret wear , no fret board wear , flat top , no cracks , no bellying , all original hardware , original bone nut and saddle , original bridge pins .
The neck profile on this instrument is C shape with a 1 11/16" nut width and feels extremely comfortable in hand. This guitar plays very good up and down the fingerboard. This would make a beautiful instrument for stage or home use or a perfect songwriting companion.
